Excursion to Leopard Trail on 12th February, 2023
We took our students for a special day to the Leopard Trail. They enjoyed fun games, exciting prizes and refreshing meals with their teachers. The smiles on their faces truly make our days!

SAAR students celebrated Dussehra with their teachers and the founding members. They built Raavan themselves with balloons and organic material like paper and wood, learning the importance of safeguarding the environment while making the most of each celebration.

The pandemic really made us realize our strengths and weaknesses. We decided to use our strengths in the best way possible. In the midst of all the chaos, we tried our best to get as many people vaccinated as possible. As work and other responsibilities made it difficult for them to reach out to doctors, we brought doctors to them. We organized a vaccination drive near their houses to make it convenient for everyone around.
In difficult times, it is important to come up with appropriate solutions for constant growth. Following this thought, we started taking classes online as Covid-19 came up with yet another variant and the cases were on the rise. For the safety of our teachers and students both, we took the necessary steps so as to not harm their education or health. We assigned homework to students through the medium of WhatsApp and keep a constant check on their progress.
We understand that it is important to keep children’s morale high at this time, for that particular reason, we’ve been arranging several activities with them and hope to continue doing the same. We celebrated Dussehra with the students by engaging them in eco- friendly Raavan making, and taught them the importance of being careful about air and noise pollution.

We’ve had enormous support from the people around us and a few organizations, and we hope to work together with them in the future to create a bigger impact. One such organization is St. Xavier’s High School, which worked with us for a donation drive not just for the students, but also for their parents. The students welcomed the guests warmly and enjoyed their time together.
Working on our idea of all work and no play, makes Jack a dull boy, we decided to reward our best performers with a drive to Leopard Trail, Garat Pur Bas. We played games with them, had lunch together and sang songs! The students and teachers enjoyed a fun get together and encouraged other kids to perform equally well.

Ganga is a domestic help at Tata Primanti, unfortunately her daughter, Sushmita met with a head injury because of a road accident, thankfully, we were able to raise enough funds required for her medical aid. She recovered with time and joined classes soon. With the support of those around us, and the ones who wish to connect with us, we can make our community bigger and work on it together.
